If anyone can do it, it has to be you.

Hi everyone! First, let me just say that I don't pretend to be an expert on physical fitness and that anyone reading this post should take all the precautions needed before you start any new physical fitness routine. The only one that can best take care of #1 is you (and your Doctor).
Today let's talk about "numbers", as they should be a part of your personal health awareness. Anytime you get ready to take a bike ride (for example) you make sure that the tires have enough air (35 psi), the seat is comfortable (softer vs. harder), the handlebar is at the right angle (35-degree angle), that everything is working properly (good numbers). All machines need maintenance and care; your body is the ultimate machine and like all others, you need to maintain it.

My nutritionist told me "but Luis, you're not a number" when I told her that my target weight was 200. Of course, she was right, I'm not a number, but everything that we do is measured and comes with a "good" and a "bad" number attached to it. Your cholesterol, high blood pressure, weight, one's health is measured by a collection of digits that can serve us as indicators in our quest to a healthy existence if we take charge.
However, what if I just put aside those numbers for now, and focus on doing the things that will enhance those metrics when we eventually take a look at them again. How do we start? Read a lot, get smart about the good, the bad, and yes, the ugly habits that shape our overall health. Then, assume for the sake of purpose that your numbers are not optimal, that they need some help. Avoid or change bad habits, and start doing the things that you know need to be done to be healthy and stay healthy. You don't need a number right now, what you need is to take charge of your body, feed it wholesome foods, drink a lot of water, and walk 30 minutes a day.
That's a good start, and when you eventually check your "numbers" you will find out that you are on the right path to an enhanced life experience.
I hope that you enjoy this information. Leave any comments below and make sure you Subscribe.
